How to play

Hold the mouse button where you want the worm to go, or steer with W A S D or the arrow keys: it swims through the ground, leaving a trail of shaken earth. At the camp or an outpost, 1–5 buy upgrades. Esc opens this menu and M turns the sound off and on.

Swallow what glitters: gems, fossils, old coins and odd relics, and veins of ore. Your belly only holds so much, so swim back up to the camp on the surface to sell it all, then buy upgrades at the Resonator.

Vibration lets you shake through harder rock, and so go deeper; rock you can't shake yet is cross-hatched. Maw swallows bigger finds. Break into a cave and you fall; steer into a wall or the floor to dig again.

Outposts stand straight down from the camp, a third and two thirds of the way to the core, shut up until you buy one. Then you can sell and upgrade down there, and if you faint below one (or wriggle home) you wake in it.
